Dove Club 2019

Labor Day is the kickoff to all things most Southerners Love - College Football & Dove Hunting! Although we can't predict the outcome of our favorite college team, we try to stack the deck in our favor on our Dove field. We stage our planting of Corn, Proso Millet, Brown Top Millet, Sunflowers & Milo for our lil migratory guests. We have power lines, pines, and water access that the doves seem to love. The Club typically has 30 members on 30-40 acres of planted fields exclusively for dove use. Our Club's kickoff hunt is on Labor Day. BBQ begins around noon, start drawing for blinds around 1pm and head to the field around 2pm. We will hunt until limits or 6:30. The rest of the season, the Club hunts Saturday afternoons only, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the first season. We typically have one dove hunt around Thanksgiving if there is a bird population present, normally there is. It's a family environment and members are encouraged to bring their children if they so desire. Obedient gun dogs are welcome.
